First of all let’s all understand that silk screening and screen printing both refer to the same process. Silk screening is a slightly more antiquated term coming from the time when silk was the only fabric that was used. Now then, what is silk screening/screen printing? Simply put, it is a process used to create prints on a wide number of materials from fabric to woods. All those jazzy designs on your T-Shirt are courtesy the process of silk screen printing! A lot of other printers use silk screening but where we are different is that we use water base ink not Platisol. And we have good reasons too. It is also the most ideal for screen printing as it creates a softer, more lightweight feel. It’s durable and indelible so you don’t have to worry about the design washing out in the washing machine. And they are also longer lasting.
