Naturally, a printer that prides itself on being "environmentally friendly" is going to want organic cotton apparel to print on. That's why we have a "sister company" , Organic Apparel, where we specialize in organic cotton apparel.
Several years ago, we were looking for good organic cotton t-shirts and apparel and found that only one company carried organic cotton t shirts and their color selection was very lean. That's why in 2004 we designed a more fashionable cut for the shirt and started to look for manufacturers to cut and sew our patterns.
As we developed relationships we decided that what we wanted was a USA garment from start to finish. Our organic cotton apparel is grown on USA soil, spun into yarn, knit into fabric and cut, sewn and trimmed all on USA soil !
We then had to figure out how to control the dyes in an eco-friendly way and found the only way to insure we could create the colors we (and our clients) wanted was to dye the shirts ourselves: oy-vey.
In our search we found a wonderful company called Dharma Trading Company who carries a high quality fiber reactive procion dye. After months of research, development and training, we finally were ready to produce a simple line of T-shirts with several exciting colors for men and for women.
